Fairey Gannet AEW3,XL502.
The Fairey Gannet was originally designed as an anti-submarine strike aircraft. They first flew in 1949 from Aldermaston.
This particular model, at RAF Elvington, is the AEW3 airborne early warning variety.
XL502 was the last Gannet in service with 849 squadron and the last Gannet to dislay at an airshow.
