F-18 Hornet Finnish Air Force at RAF Fairford 2007
The Finnish Air Force (Suomen Ilmavoimat) has 63 F-18C/Ds. Delivery started on June 7, 1995. One fighter was destroyed in mid-air collision in 2001.
Of note in the Finnish F-18C versions is the inclusion of the ASPJ (Airborne-Self-Protection-Jammer) jamming Pod ALQ-165 that was cancelled on original US Navy orders. The US Navy later included the ALQ-165 on their Super Hornet (F-18E/F) procurement.
