Army Air Corps at Dawlish

Performing at the Dawlish Carnival Airday on 16th August 2007 is this helicopter of the Army Air Corps Team.
Peter Langsdale tells me it looks like an Alouette 11?
The rest of the team were going through their routine and the pilot was hovering close by and responded to waves to come as close as he could.

is this not a westland scout

Added by Layton Toward on 04 April 2009.
The Scout has a solid tail boom, not an open tubular framework like this. I am very familiar with the Alouette II as we have two in the Aeroseum and I describe them to people as a guide there twice a week (today is one of those days, actually). I would be very surprised to learn that it is anything other than an Alouette II.One distinguishing feature is the semicircular rear rotor protection bar.
