Looks more like an RAF aircraft, and not an Royal Navy plane.

Don't know John P. Brown but I take this opportunity to inform him that RAF a/c do not have arrester hooks.

I think that I can answer this one, the aircraft is neither, the machine was owned by the late Ormond Haydon Baillie who lost his life flying a P-51 Mustang I-BILL in Germany, he purchased the Sea Fury together with two T-33's and a CF-100 Canuck bringing them back to the UK, except the Canuck which was obtained from the College of Aeronautics at Cranfield, the scheme is pseudo and is more like that of a Tempest 2.
The aircraft is now with Joe Clancy in the U.S.A extensively rebuilt from three seperate airframes.

I saw and photographed this one in 2007 as "Furias", undergoing maintenance in a hangar at Paine Field, Washington.
