Yes another wet summer's day at Manchester's Ringway Airport sees Br Airways' V.802 Viscount G-AOHO just arrived from Jersey in July 1974. Laker's BAC 111-320 G-AVBW is just visible behind.

G-AOHO Vickers Viscount 802, c/n 164, built in 1957, first flight 26 April 1957 from Weybridge, Surrey. 4 May 1957 delivered to BEA with the name 'RMA Samual Wallis'. Flew to Moscow in February 1958 with 18-strong technical team for discussions on a direct air service to London.
17 March 1963 landed short at Tegel, Berlin, nosewheel subsequently collapsed and damaged 2 engines. Repaired on site and returned to service.
March 1976 withdrawn from service, stored at Jersey, and later sold to Hotel de France, Jersey. Mated in May 1977 to forward fuselage section of Viscount c/n 160 G-AOHK. Scrapped some time after June 1983.
G-AVBW BAC One-Eleven c/n BAC.107 built in 1967, also carried registrations G-BKAU and 5N-AOZ.
