A light multi-role STOL aircraft used by the Soviet Air Force, Soviet civilian aviation and other countries from 1947 onwards. It was designed to replace the Po-2 biplane. Further development of the Yak-12M (M = metal) was carried out in Poland, becoming the PZL-101 Gawron.
