Sopwith Triplane Reproduction

The Shuttleworth Collection Sopwith Triplane Reproduction lands back at Old Warden after its Display at the Flying Evening in May 2005.
Sir Tommy Sopwith was so impressed with this reproduction, which was built by Northern Aeroplane Workshops that he said it was effectively an original airframe built around 70 years after production of the original batch finished. He gave it a Sopwith build plate and allocated the airframe a Sopwith construction number which followed on from the original batch built around the end of the First World War.
